Absolutely Incredible Kid Day®

March 19, 2015

Celebrating its 19th anniversary, Camp Fire’s Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® honors our nation’s youth by asking adults to write letters of encouragement and inspiration to the incredible kids in their lives. It is a simple, meaningful way to let youth know how much they are appreciated.

Join Camp Fire and our many corporate and philanthropic partners as we celebrate the amazing kids who impact our community and communities around the country. Youth from around the nation will be celebrating along with you as we recognize absolutely incredible kids at Camp Fire council events around the nation, on social media channels like Facebook and Twitter, in video on YouTube and at live events, and through a national media relations effort.

AIKD is a day designated to honor our nation’s youth. Adults and teens are asked to write, post, tweet, and tag (#AIKD) notes of encouragement and inspiration. It is a simple, meaningful way to let youth know how much they are appreciated. Lives are changed by this simple act of love and kindness.

O'Neill Family

Danny & Carla O’Neill

Danny O’Neill is the Founder, President & “Bean Baron” of The Roasterie, delivering Kansas City’s Best air-roasted coffee. Together, he and his wife Carla champion our 2015 event.

“Camp Fire is extremely important to Carla for a number of reasons. First of all, there is nothing more important than the future of this community’s children; Camp Fire is intentional and deliberate in how they help prepare our precious children to both be solid citizens as well as our future leaders. Camp Fire has decades of experience in teaching children so that it is fun, meaningful and “sticky.” These are the skills that they build on for the rest of their lives. Carla and I are honored to play but a very small role in this awesome organization.”
