School-Year Programs

Programs that complement everyday learning

Camp Fire School-Year Programs

Camp Fire is a true partner with many schools, meaning we deliver programs during the school day that are incorporated right into a teacher’s lesson plan. Our programs are developed in such a way that our staff can work directly with a teacher to ensure the flow of education is not interrupted. Programs delivered include:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Cyberbullying/bullying
  • Health and wellness
  • Digital literacy
  • Community service
  • STEM
  • Communication-skill building

How Do School-Year Programs Work?

School-Year programs are structured in collaboration with each individual teacher, and school, to ensure that Camp Fire programs support each youth’s education. Youth and teachers are encouraged to provide feedback to help deliver the program in a way that aligns with the students’ passions and unique talents. Our trained adult staff gathers this input to tailor curricula to meet the needs and nurture the sparks of the youth in the class.

Camp Fire Wise Kids®

Camp Fire’s Wise Kids® and Wise Kids Outdoors® health and wellness programs use the simple theory of “energy in = energy out” to teach children about eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle.

InterACTION

Communication with peer groups and adults is crucial to thriving and success for youth and teens today. Camp Fire’s InterACTION focuses on healthy communication and conflict resolution.

Camp Fire School Time Programs in Your Area

Although Camp Fire is providing Out-Of-School-Time programming in many schools, we are not working with every school. Please contact us if you have questions or would like Camp Fire to contact your school. Or, use our council directory to find Camp Fire programs near you.

Camp Fire Club Programs

Some Camp Fire Councils do offer a traditional club program. These programs pair a trained, volunteer leader with a group of youth who work on Camp Fire curricula and programs during the out-of-school-time hours. In addition, Camp Fire Clubs typically go on field trips, undertake service projects and do a variety of activities.
