Camp Fire Names Sonya Richburg, Lead Counsel for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, to its National Board of Trustees
Richburg brings 20 years of corporate legal expertise and passion to the national youth organization
Youth development organization Camp Fire is proud to announce that Sonya Richburg, Lead Internal Counsel for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, has recently joined Camp Fire’s National Board of Trustees.
“It’s exciting to welcome new board members that are as passionate about what they do as Sonya,” said Board Chair Jane Parker, and CEO of Interbrand Health. “At Camp Fire, we are always encouraging the youth in our programs to find their spark and learn how to nurture it, but our organization must first set the example, and that starts at the Board. Members like Sonya are an incredible example of how the world benefits when we allow our passions to drive us. She is an excellent addition to our Board.”
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Richburg partners closely with the Human Resources Department and other business stakeholders on various labor and employment-related matters, investigations, and federal, state and local government agency actions. Prior to joining the Company, Sonya worked as in-house employment attorney for Lowe’s Companies, Inc. and Compass Group, NAD.
“As we continue to bring on new board members, it has been extremely encouraging for me to see that although we have notable trustees with many diverse backgrounds, they are all dedicated to a common goal: to help young people succeed and thrive. Sonya is no exception,” said Greg Zweber, Camp Fire National Headquarters President & CEO. “I am very excited to see what Sonya brings to the table and how it will help influence the work we are currently doing and will do in the future.”
In addition to dedicating her time to Camp Fire, Richburg is the Track Coordinator for the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law’s 13th Annual Conference. Sonya earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Pennsylvania Law School, one of the most selective and oldest law schools in the country, after earning her Bachelor’s Degree at Rutgers University.
