December 1 is Giving Tuesday at Camp Fire
#GivingTuesday™ is a national day of giving on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday is December 1, 2015. In the same way you participate in Black Friday to get great deals on holiday purchases, we hope you’ll participate in #GivingTuesday to support the causes you believe in.
At Camp Fire, we encourage all youth, teens, families, and communities to give — through time, money, or resources. Everything helps! Want to support Camp Fire on #GivingTuesday? Here are ways you can help:
- Donate to Camp Fire! Every donation matters. When you donate to Camp Fire, you light the fire within your community and support a legacy of inclusiveness and innovative youth development programs. Support the youth, teens, and families in your community. Donate here.
- Donate your social media page to Camp Fire. Camp Fire is helping youth across the country find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are—and we need your help to spread the word! Pledge to donate your Twitter or Facebook page to Camp Fire on #GivingTuesday by posting messages throughout the day about our cause. Use the sample tweets and Facebook posts below, or “share” and RT Camp Fire’s posts for convenience. Either way, you are helping us to promote our cause. Find us on Facebook here and follow us on Twitter @CampFireNHQ.
- Volunteer with your local Camp Fire program. Whether you help clean up camp, read to youth in our after school programs, or lead an activity, we promise your experience will be rewarding! Each council offers different volunteer opportunities, locate your local program here.
- Write an Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® letter. Every kid deserves to hear how incredible they are. Help us meet our goal of every child in America receiving a letter on Absolutely Incredible Kid Day®, March 15, 2016. Learn more about Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® here.
In honor of #GivingTuesday, I am donating my Facebook page to Camp Fire. Camp Fire has numerous ways to get involved, whether through volunteering at one of their programs across the US, writing a letter to an Absolutely Incredible Kid, or donating money. I am happy to support an organization that helps kids find their sparks. Want to learn more? Visit www.campfire.org.
