I would like to nominate my nephew*.

He is the most loving and empathetic 7-year-old you will ever meet. He notices details and remembers everyone he meets, including their birthdays! He wants to know about you and remembers your name and interests. He really sees you, and you feel like the most important person to him when you’re with him. How can such a little guy have so much connection so young? He notices when someone is missing from a family event and waits anxiously for them to arrive, to greet them with a big hug and a most heartfelt smile. Although he has the most loving parents, I believe the one-of-a-kind traits he has are not something that can be taught; it is something you are born with, and he has it! He excels in math and loves to read, especially Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

To know him is to love him.

Why the Kid in My Life Is Incredible

Grace* is an incredible young person, and I am so proud of the person she is becoming. She is a high honor roll student, which shows how dedicated and hardworking she is when it comes to her education. She takes her schoolwork seriously and always pushes herself to do her best, even when things are challenging. What truly makes Grace stand out, though, is her heart. She is kind to everyone she meets. She treats people with respect, includes others, and tries to make sure no one feels left out. In a world where kindness can sometimes be overlooked, Grace shows it naturally every single day. She is also very motivated and always looking for ways to grow, learn, and improve herself. A laptop would mean so much to her because it would give her the tools she needs to continue excelling in school and exploring her interests. She would truly use it to its full potential for learning and building her future. Grace is the type of kid who works hard, cares deeply about others, and has a bright future ahead of her.

I can’t think of someone more deserving of an opportunity like this.

I would like to submit my daughter, Allison*.

She works so incredibly hard, not just in school but in all aspects of her life. She’s about to enter her last year of high school, which is something I know she’s been putting in the work for. As an AP student, she strives to challenge herself and to prepare for what’s next. Unfortunately, while she is certainly very capable of getting into very good schools, the reality is that we as a family cannot afford to send her. She has planned, all on her own, to go to community college through FAFSA and save to transfer to her dream school. I want her to have all of the tools she needs to succeed, and I do my best to do so—however, sometimes what I can provide is not what she needs to excel, especially in her advanced classes. She knows the value of hard work; she knows what it takes to succeed. I’m so proud of her achievements and how far she’s gotten, along with the sacrifices she’s chosen to make in order to also support her own family. I love her so much, and if I can even just tell one other person, it’s worth it. Whether her nomination gets chosen or not, what truly matters is that her dedication to her family and academics is known to as many people as possible, it’s the least that I could do.

To my daughter Alaina*

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how truly amazing you are. I’ve been watching you grow and navigate the world, and I’m constantly impressed by your resilience, creativity, and passion. You face challenges head-on, whether it’s school, friendships, or figuring out who you are. Your ability to adapt and learn from these experiences is inspiring. You’re also incredibly creative, expressing yourselves through art, music, writing, and so many other ways. Keep exploring those passions and sharing your unique talents with the world. Most importantly, you care deeply about the world around you. You’re passionate about making a difference, whether it’s through volunteering, advocating for change, or simply being kind to others. Your empathy and compassion give me hope for the future. Never lose that spark, and always remember how much you matter.

Love always your mommy 😘

Raine*, you are the absolute love of my life.

What makes you so special is the caring heart you carry. Even at just seven years old, you show a strength and compassion that many adults don’t have. When I was going through cancer, you were my rock. You prayed for me and covered me with love. On the days when I felt like I couldn’t keep going, you encouraged me. When I had to cut off all of my hair, you looked at me and reminded me that I was still beautiful. In that moment, you became my strength. You are smart, you are loving, and you are kind. But more than anything, you have a heart that lifts others up—and that is what makes you truly special.

I love you-Mom.

I am a mother of two teen boys, Julian* & Alejandro*.

I am beyond proud of all the hard work they put in and all the achievements they set their mind to. Julian is such a smart, lovable, and beyond humble kid who always thinks of others before himself. Since starting high school, he’s joined soccer, JROTC, and continues to excel in his academics. Alejandro went into middle school with such an open mind, from becoming a part of the student government, running for prom king, joining soccer, to becoming an outstanding member of TRIO. They talk about their future often, and I’m happy they think big from college to being successful. I truly believe they deserve an opportunity for a laptop so they can continue achieving in their academics.

I’m her father, so I’m biased, but our middle child, Cassie*, is such a loving and compassionate child.

She is the exact opposite of what a “middle child” is joked of as being. She has overcome a lot (being non-verbal as a toddler due to learning disabilities that she is still overcoming), yet she is so concerned for others. She is constantly drawing pictures to give to others, and she is always willing to volunteer to help with anything. This past weekend, she participated in a gymnastics competition along with four other girls on her team. Only one of them failed to earn a medal, and as that girl became upset and started crying, the other girls surrounded her to console her, and Cassie offered her one of her medals. She not only makes me proud to be her father, but she gives me confidence that I am doing a good job at it.

She is an amazing 10-year old.

Introducing our starting lineup of our family:

First up is our 16-year-old team captain, academic MVP, and talented pianist. Next, our fifteen-year-old straight-A sportsman, who conquers the football field, the basketball court, the baseball diamond, and the wrestling mat. Then there’s our 11-year-old powerhouse, and straight-A student who juggles piano, gymnastics, basketball, softball, and soccer. And of course, it’s our seven-year-old Rookie of the Year, who’s already a pro at being awesome. As our captain gets ready for her biggest play, college, a new laptop will be an essential piece of gear for her academic career.

It’s the perfect signing bonus for an amazing student who leads an equally amazing team.

My little girl is amazing.

I’m fighting with a disability, so I don’t have a lot of money to give her the things that she deserves. She makes the academic honor roll, and they’re testing her for gifted because she’s so smart. Her tablet broke, and I’m not able to get her another one, and she so deserves a laptop to help her grow in her learning and reading. She never meets a stranger and asks for a hug anytime she meets someone. She’s shining God’s love to the world. She’s in fifth grade. She is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I look at her, and I can see exactly how much the lord loves me.

Thomas*, I know I’m your mom, but… you are the most incredible kid and I feel lucky to have you in my life.

Every day you wake up with a positive outlook on the day. I love it when you curl up to me on the weekends and ask, “What adventure do you have planned today?” Every day with you is an adventure, and you make each adventure better. Whether we are exploring creeks or walking through a museum, your curiosity of the world amazes me. You want to know all the tough questions – how and why? – no matter where they lead. You have a can-do attitude, even if you fail the first 20 times. Every time you trip or stumble, you pick yourself up and keep moving forward, even through tears. You are always willing to try something new or help a friend. But my favorite bit about you is your profound kindness and care for the world and all its inhabitants. Your heart is always open and ready to pour love into the world. You always surprise me. The way you open the doors for others struggling (or even may struggle). The way you look at the dogs and pet their heads while telling them how much they are loved. The way you just look up and say I love you mom. I can’t wait to see the trails you blaze and the adventures you embark on!

Your mom

Amanda* is so amazing.

She has overcome so much in her life, and still continues to make strides. She doesn’t, at all, let anyone influence her or her decisions within her life; she does what she wants, and she doesn’t care who does or doesn’t like it. She takes her imagination and writes amazing short stories; she’s been published TWICE in short story magazines, what an accomplishment at only 14!! I love that I get to watch her grow, and turn into this young, respectable, smart and talented lady in this crazy world we live in. She makes everything worth going through, I wouldn’t have her any other way!! I hope she keeps thriving, keeps proving people wrong, showing the people she cares about love, compassion and friendship. I hope that she can continue to grow and move mountains for herself, even though she’ll always have the help of her mom.

She’s a very special girl, I can’t wait to see who she becomes.

Dear H and L, You two have brought such joy to my life.

Over the past 7 years, as your mom, I have learned so much. You two have such different approaches to life. H you are an observer. You watch and question things before trying it. L you jump first ask questions later. Your spirit of adventure is so infectious. Even though you both are so opposite you’re both have such big love for your family and nature. My favorite part of my day is watching you both play and recreate what we are learning at the time. Also going on hikes is so much fun and I have truly enjoyed adding that to our routines the past year. Thank you for challenging me and teaching me every day. I hope you continue to always ask questions and know it’s okay to sometimes feel small in this huge universe.

Love, Mom

Today I am writing to let you know what an Absolutely Incredible Kid Emma* is.

She is the kind of young person who leaves a lasting impression everywhere she goes, not because she seeks recognition, but because her kindness, character, and quiet strength naturally shine. She is an outstanding student who makes excellent grades and takes great pride in her academics. As an active member of the National Junior Beta Club, she exemplifies scholarship, leadership, and service. She is focused, disciplined, and committed to always doing her very best.

What truly sets Carter apart is her heart. Carter has a pure love for Camp Fire and everything it stands for. Camp Fire is not just something she participates in, to Emma, Camp Fire is family. Her mother was an active Camp Fire member, and now Emma and her younger sister continue that legacy together. The values of Camp Fire are not just words to her; but how she lives. She faithfully participates in council activities and group meetings, and she genuinely embraces the Law of Camp Fire.

She makes sure that no one feels left out. If she sees someone who needs encouragement or a helping hand, she reaches out without hesitation. She wants everyone around her to have a wonderful time. Whether at Camp Fire, at school, or in her community, Emma looks for the person standing alone and makes them feel seen, valued, and included. She is a tremendous help and takes responsibility with a cheerful spirit. She serves with joy. She leads with kindness. She shines in every environment she enters.

Emma shows greatness through her character, dedication, and heart for service. As an adult, I can honestly say she embodies the character and compassion I hope to have myself. Emma is a pure joy, a leader, and a young woman destined to do great things.

She is an Absolutely Incredible Kid!

To My Incredible Son,

There are some people who walk into a room and change the energy without even trying. You are one of those people.

At just 8 years old, you carry something special inside you — a quiet strength, a deep way of thinking, and a heart that shines bright. When I watch you sit and focus, whether you’re learning, watching something new, or just thinking to yourself, I see a young king in the making. You observe. You absorb. You understand more than most people realize.

You are incredible because you are kind. You are incredible because you are smart beyond your years. You are incredible because you are calm when others aren’t. You are incredible because your smile can light up a whole room.

You have a natural confidence about you — not loud, not boastful — but steady. Solid. Powerful. You don’t have to demand attention because your presence already speaks.

I see greatness in you. Not just in what you will do… but in who you already are. You are creative. You are thoughtful. You are strong. You are loved more than words can ever explain.

There will be days when the world feels big. There will be moments when you doubt yourself. But I want you to always remember this: You come from strength. You are built with purpose. And you are deeply, unconditionally loved.

Watching you grow is one of the greatest honors of my life. I am proud of you not just for what you achieve — but for your character, your heart, and your spirit.

Never shrink yourself. Never dim your light. Never forget who you are.

You are incredible — today, tomorrow, and always.

Love, Dad

Avery is the amazing, incredible kid in my life.

She’s kind and hardworking. She trained her alpacas to become certified therapy alpacas and then volunteered to bring them into nursing homes and share the joy with them at various community events.

I couldn’t be more proud.

My absolutely incredible kid is my oldest daughter, Emily*.

Emily has one of the biggest, kindest hearts I’ve ever known. From a very young age, she has always looked for ways to help others. At just four years old, she donated her hair to Children With Hair Loss, wanting another child to feel special and cared for. Emily’s compassion shines through everything she does. On her swim team, she works incredibly hard—participating in the aquathon fundraiser each year and raising nearly $900 this season by swimming an astonishing 100 laps. In her first year, she even earned the award for raising the most money. She is also a supportive and enthusiastic teammate, and recently her 4-person relay team earned first place in the state for their age group. Beyond her athletic dedication, Emily is a loving big sister, cousin, and friend. She is thoughtful, responsible, considerate, and always ready to help—whether that means jumping in to assist with chores, supporting classmates, or even helping her grandparents paint their new house last weekend. Most recently, Emily completed a 4th‑grade Changemaker Project, and she approached it with remarkable leadership and independence. Wanting to protect the ocean she loves, she organized a bake sale fundraiser for the Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation. Emily chose the idea, planned the details, designed her advertising in Canva, baked treats with the guidance of a pastry‑chef friend, and ran the sale herself, joined by a couple of friends she naturally inspired to help. Emily’s energy is magnetic, her leadership is inclusive, and she brings out the best in the people around her. We are endlessly proud of the person she is—thoughtful, determined, creative, and full of heart. A laptop would truly help her take her ideas to the next level and explore even more ways she can give back to her community.

My daughter is in 10th grade and is amazing.

She decided that she wants to be a mechanical engineer and has repeatedly chosen harder classes and ones that are geared that direction in order to set herself up for better scholarship opportunities when she graduates. Going as far as to ask to take an extra math class during summer a couple years ago to push herself forward more. She is heavily involved with her high school drama troupe and works on the technical side (usually lighting) again bringing in her interests while spending lots of time with friends. She works for the drama teacher doing lighting and sound at events. She has also worked at the special needs camp here in town and doing balloon animals at events as buying a car is another goal of hers. I’ve never seen a child work so hard towards their goals without being pushed. It is amazing to see. She has many healthy friendships and enjoys doing all the regular teenage things. She loves to help others and has signed up for different leadership groups at school to support that. Keeping her world well-rounded and working to achieve her goals is a skill many adults don’t have. My hope is for her to always be healthy, happy and reach for her goals.

I will always be her biggest supporter.

Our daughter Avery* is just so amazing for how much she cares about us.

I am 51, and I have a chronic medical condition that requires wound care on a daily basis and includes a lot of pain that comes and goes. Unfortunately, Avery has witnessed me broken down into tears more times than I care to mention. She cleans and wraps my wounds on my legs to help me through the day. Her dad just got an operation for a hernia, which was causing him tremendous pain, followed by a chainsaw accident where he almost cut his toes off. Avery has been loading the house up with firewood every night for our woodstove heat, taking care of the two dogs and 4 kitties, along with taking care of her dad and mom. We are a working-class family and have always provided for our kids, but this year was very different and difficult due to my no longer being able to go back to work and her dad being off due to his injuries. Christmas was hard, and Avery did not get much, which made me feel sad. Avery didn’t even bat an eye on it and focused on being positive without expressing any signs of disappointment, although I know she expected more than the 4 gifts we could afford for her. We love our girl sooo much, and I can’t help but feel like I’m a burden to her and her iPad. I bought her 7 years ago after our car accident just broke, so I know she would greatly appreciate a new device to use at her leisure, and I feel like she is more than deserving.

Not only is Tyanna* a unique, empathetic, loving teen, but she is also my only daughter.

And if I could give her everything she has ever wanted, I would. She’s been working hard as a teacher assistant at her summer youth job since she was 14. She loves working with kids and coming home and telling me about her day. She is a very loving and kind-hearted individual. The kids love her. Her family loves her, and we encourage her and are proud of her. As a teen, she still loves to hang out with Mom and her family. She’s taken culinary classes and loves cooking. We enjoy all the meals she’s prepared. She’s a great helper and loves her family. If I could give her everything she’s ever wanted, I would.

The most incredible kid in my life is my daughter, Layla*.

She is so amazing because she makes all A’s, she’s respectful to her teachers and family, and she’s very talented. Layla isn’t just some regular 11-year-old. She’s a unique kid who is just amazing. She plays the tenor saxophone and knows how to read music. At a young age, I wasn’t as talented as Layla, and that’s what makes me even more proud of her. She goes to the library, reads, and gets on the computer not just to play games, but also to do educational stuff. She’s in the National Honor Society for being one of the best kids in science. She loves math, and every year at her school, they have a math bee. She gets picked every year to be in it for being great at math. She ends up in 1st or 2nd place every year. I’m proud of her for wanting to push herself to be better and for trying. Everyone isn’t perfect, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try.

I’m reaching out because I have the most wonderful daughter.

Her name is Tamara*. She lost her father at the age of three, and she suffered from seizures. She’s overcome them. She’s in the 11th grade now. She has always gotten A’s on every report card, and she graduates next year. She has helped at home with summer jobs. She does a wonderful job. I would just like for her to have something new in her life.

My babies are so amazing, they’re so incredible.

They’ve been doing so good in school. Not only that, they just, they are blessings and they’re the reason why I’m still living to this day. They don’t care about anything but their mom, but they are amazing. One has autism, and then the other one, he’s just a kid, but they’re all loving, they’re caring.

Dear Alyssa*,

I am writing you this letter to remind you how amazing you are! Sometimes, I know you don’t feel that way, but YOU ARE! I admire your determination and your perseverance, how you carry yourself. You take pride in your schoolwork, household chores, and keeping your room neat/tidy, and you are quite the fashionista! Let’s not forget that you are an amazing friend to your schoolmates, an honor student, and the teachers are always bragging about how well-behaved you are. You are definitely on the right path to becoming an amazing doctor when you finish school/college. I am proud to call you my daughter. Keep being amazing, keep being “YOU”, and keep being your Unique self! Remember, you are BEAUTIFUL, STRONG, and COURAGEOUS! You can accomplish whatever you put your mind to!

With love, Your Mom 🥰

My Incredible Daughter,

From the moment you came into my life, everything changed. The world didn’t just become brighter — it became deeper, fuller, and more meaningful. You are not just my daughter. You are my heart walking outside of my body. You are my greatest blessing, my answered prayer, my reason to push harder and dream bigger.

You are incredible in ways you don’t even realize yet.

Your smile alone can shift my entire mood. On days when life feels heavy, when I feel tired or overwhelmed, one look at you reminds me why I keep going. Your laugh is pure magic — it fills every room and every empty space in my spirit. You have this light inside you that shines so naturally, so effortlessly. It’s something no one can teach and no one can take away.

You are strong. Even when you don’t know it. I see your determination in the way you try again when something is hard. I see your bravery in the way you ask questions and explore the world with curiosity. You have a fearless spark — a boldness that tells me you are going to do amazing things in this world.

You are kind. The way you care, the way you love, the way you notice little things — that is rare. Kindness is a superpower, and you carry it so naturally. Whether it’s a hug, a small “I love you,” or the way you share, you remind me that softness is strength.

You inspire me every single day. Because of you, I want to be better. I want to grow more, love harder, and build a life that shows you what resilience looks like. You give me purpose beyond myself. You make me want to leave a legacy of love, courage, and faith for you to stand on.

You are my motivation. My reminder that no matter what challenges come our way, we can overcome them. When I look at you, I see hope. I see the future. I see greatness. I see a young queen in the making — confident, intelligent, creative, and powerful in her own unique way.

But beyond all of that, you are incredible simply because you are you. Not because of what you accomplish. Not because of what you achieve. Not because of what anyone else thinks. You are worthy, valuable, and extraordinary just by existing.

I promise to always love you fiercely. I promise to always protect you. I promise to guide you but also let you grow into exactly who you are meant to be. I promise to remind you — over and over again — that you are enough.

One day when you read this, I hope you understand how deeply you changed my life. You gave me a love I didn’t know my heart could hold. You gave me strength I didn’t know I had. You made me a mother — and that is the greatest title I will ever carry.

Thank you for being my daughter. Thank you for being my light. Thank you for being so incredibly, beautifully you.

Forever and always, Mom
