In today’s technology-enhanced world STEM studies (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) have become essential to the success of youth across our country. Though Camp Fire has been diligent in incorporating #STEM into programming, over the next few months those efforts will ramp up and accelerate as they become even more integrated into Camp Fire programming.
This past year Camp Fire began a new partnership with Samsung to create the Building Blocks STEM Curricula for youth in grades K–8. As 2015 rolls out, the curricula’s pilot will kick off in seven Camp Fire councils. With feedback, modifications will be integrated with the intent to expand Building Blocks to a broader set of councils in fall 2015.
