Executive Director – Camp Fire Samish

Camp Fire Samish (CFS) seeks candidates for the position of Executive Director (ED) in Bellingham, WA, USA.  CFS is a non-profit organization serving the youth of Skagit, Whatcom, Island, and San Juan counties.  This position is full-time, including benefits, and is accountable to the Council’s Board of Directors. The Executive Director ensures that CFS will measurably reach more youth and families with quality Camp Fire experiences while creating a compelling sense of purpose, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Key elements of the position include the ability to express a strategic vision and future goals for the organization. Key proficiencies are written and oral communication skills, financial reporting, fundraising, and history of successful team leadership.

Minimal requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Public/Business Administration, or a related field with at least five years non-profit supervisory experience.  Master’s degree with executive experience is preferred.  Salary is $70,000, depending on experience, plus benefits.

The CFS office is located in Bellingham, WA.   Camp Kirby, located on Samish Island, is CFS’s summer resident camp which draws local youth plus attendees from around the world.
