Camp Fire is very excited to be able to offer scholarships for youth attending the 2019 Youth Leadership Experience, as well as adult chaperones! For youth to attend the conference, they must be registered through a council. The scholarship will then be awarded to the council. Please keep in mind that the council will also need to secure hotel accommodations for the youth attending.

Each council is eligible to nominate two youth for scholarships to attend YLE.

Each council is encouraged to send multiple youth to YLE. However, the purpose of these scholarships is to help youth who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference. We recommend that when nominating a youth, each council keeps in mind the following:

  1. These scholarships are intended to be need-based.
  2. If you already have someone from your council attending NLC, please do not apply for a chaperone scholarship. The adult attending NLC can be the travel chaperone for the youth attending from your council.
